Q&A with Jack Giorgio about his #Regulator23...

Q: What do you love about your Regulator 23?

A: I like how the Regulator 23 is actually 27 feet with the Armstrong bracket. It makes it ride and perform in rough seas like a much bigger boat. But even with that heft, I am still able to trailer it easily.

Q: Where do you fish? What do you catch?

A: I fish in Boston Harbor, MA, Hingham inner Harbor, MA, Hull, MA and Minots Ledge Light in Scituate, MA. I mostly catch stripers and bluefish. 

My Regulator 23 is perfect for fishing in the Boston area. When I am fishing, I can move around with ease because the beam of my Regulator 23 is wide for the size boat. I love fishing on the bow with the cushions off it as it gives a perfect walk around to cast out my treble hook to snag pogie/menhaden. 

I like fishing in the stern of the boat because when I am trolling, I have many spots for my rods behind my Captain’s seat, in multiple rod holders, in the gunwales and the transom. This makes it easy for me to have multiple lines out without them getting tangled. I also love the storage in the front of the bow in the floor. With such a deep-V hull, I have a ton of storage down low in the bow to hold fishing rods, gear, and lots of bags when my family joins for a day out on the water.

Q: What are your top three favorite features of the boat?

1. STORAGE: I love all the storage in the bow and throughout the boat. The interior of the cabinets are finished as clean as the exterior of the boat, making it easy to keep my fishing and personal gear clean and dry. 

2. EASY ACCESS: The Armstrong outboard bracket gives easy access for my dog, Franco, and me to get in and out of the water and easily board from the dock. 

3. COMFORT: I love my captain’s chair since it has a lot of adjustments. I can find several comfortable positions when I’m on long trips.
